Digitising Help and Comments needed

How would you interpret artwork like the attached? Do you try and recreate the lighting, etc. or do you simplify it? Any comments and advice welcome.
I've digitised it as such and hope the client approves, although I doubt it. I use Wilcom's Embroidery Studio for my digitising

I might try dividing Maximus in half and use darker thread on the lower half to give it the look above.
