Our Charity Sew-In group takes in fabric and scraps to use for charity projects. Some one donated some vinyl pieces. It is odd shapes, on average about 1/2 yd. X 20 inches. Some smaller and some larger.

Any ideas that they could be used for?

We have made walker bags for area nursing homes, chemo hats for some of the hospitals

Our next project is to make "Nellie pouches" for the troops. They will be given to Soldiers Angels in Metairie. I guess we will have come up with a different name for the male version. We will meet at All About Sewing in Harahan, LA. on 4/30/10 @10:30 to 12:30. Everyone is welcome to join us. Bring your machine, basic supplies thread in white and neutral colors. Donations of large buttons would be appreciated.

Got extra fabric/supplies? You can drop it off at the shop and we will put it to good use.

How about I Spy bags? Google I Spy and you'll find some free tutorials. Basically it's a bag with small things inside for a child to find.
