A while back I had made some pillowcase dresses and little boy shorts in various sizes with the intention to send them off to either Haiti or Africa...of course, months later...I still have them...they are packed in a box ready to go...can someone please shed light as to where I may send these off to?
(I probably have about 12 little dresses and about 12 little boy shorts).

Thank you.

I have limited internet access, my regular computer has a terrible virus so I am unable to get link :( :( but if you go to Nancy's Notions there is a link to charitable organizations & there is a contact for Dresses for Africa
You might want to look through this board here was one viewtopic.php?f=36&t=182674

You might also check with local churches. Our church has a sewing ministry and we send the dresses/shorts with mission teams.

Nancy's Notions has a place that these can be sent. Also "Dress A Child Around the World" takes them. You can find several chapeters usually at least a state related one. Ours is Dress A Child Around the World-North Carolina. If you are also on facebook, you will be able to search by the Dress a Child Around the World. Hope this helps. :D

Do you still have these available? Our Mission team at Church is heading to Honduras in June and we could use anything to help them.
We are making baby blankets for our church team to take to Honduras in June. Some are crocheting and some sewing - We are using a basic square pattern and the size is between 30 to 35 inches in diameter .

Plenty of needy right here in our own "community" - the United States. Why not give to them?

If you haven't sent off your dresses for Africa -- I am headed for Tanzania in Late Sept - Early Oct. and would happy to take them IF you sent them to me.... I sent 70 of them to this very poor area the beginning of the year and now I'm planning to go myself and would be glad to take them.. You may contact me at: Anitas1403@aol.com

I think I'd start locally also. Check with Social Services in your area for needy children or with local churches, homeless shelters, etc.
