I use those and mix it with 1/3 cup water, 1/3 cup vinegar and 1/3 cup sugar. They keep in the refrigerator for a long time. I love them!

My Dad use to make a layered sliced thin cucumber & white onion with equal parts of vinegar, wesson oil, salt and pepper with sugar to taste. He'd keep that bowl full all the time. OH, it was so good! My father was a great cook.

This maynot be the one U want BUT I love this one and have kept in frig until the new year and still god & crisp. DO NOT PEEL cucs. Thin Slice whatever amount of Cucs U want into container of cold water and salt to cover. Refrigerate over nite. Pour off & Rinse well. Heat until sugar is melted(don't boil): 1 C. sugar and 1/2 C. vinegar . I then add thinly sliced onions, green pepper (if desired). Refrigerate several hours before serving. Will keep a long time (if U don't eat them ALL) stored in frig.. U may need more brine depending on the amount of cucs U use. Cucs also shrink in volume when hot syrup is poured over them..
