Can anybody please tell me what would by the UK equivelant of half and half?

Half and half is just equal parts cream and milk. You can make it yourself.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it was half skimmed milk and half full fat or just half fat cream, so now when I see a recipe with it in I won't be put off from trying it. :)
