These are just like those wonderful biscuits that you get at RL......be warned, you can't eat just one.

Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine
1 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese
3/4 cup Whole milk
1/8 teaspoon Garlic powder

Melt in microwave...
1/4 cup Butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Dried parsley flakes
dash of Salt

Preparation

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

2. Combine Bisquick with 2 tablespoons of stick butter, using a pastry cutter, work butter into the bisquick until it resembles tiny peas. Add the cheddar cheese, milk, and 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder in a medium bowl. Mix until well-combined.

3. Drop approximately 1/4-cup portions of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

4. Combine 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine with 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, parsley flakes and salt. Brush this mixture over the tops of each unbaked biscuit.

5. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn light brown. After removing from the oven, brush tops again with the remaining butter garlic mixture you have left. Makes approx. 12 biscuits. Serve warm.

You're more than welcome. I've got to quit making these....I eat way too many of them, you just can't stop with only 1.

yeah so that picture looks exactly like the real thing! I seriously thought since I tried these biscuits at Red Lobster that it was going to be too difficult to match and now I find a new forum about SEWING (yeah!) and you guys know how to replicate red lobster ?? There is a very good chance that I have died and gone to heaven... oh and I have a new strategy to keep my husband happy HA!

I looked for Bisquick in my stores here in Canada and I found one made by Betty Crocker and is named Bisquick that says it is for biscuits, Pancakes, Crepers and more.
In finer print on the box it says Variety Baking Mix.

Is this the Bisquick you used for this recipe?

Has anyone thought to add some grated fresh white onion to this recipe?
I was thinking that may taste great with the cheddar and garlic flavors in the biscuits.

I think you got the right one. Here is a picture of the product. I think onion would be tasty. Kim

Yes, the variety baking mix will work like the Bisquick or you can make your own if you look in tie cookbooks. We used to make our own when Ii was a young girl in homemaking class back in the 60's :D :D :D

Thanks for the replys to my question about the Bisquick.
My box has a few recipes in the back and one in a Chicken Pot Pie using cooked chicken, FrZ Veggies, cream of chicken soup and the bisquick on top.
My son will just love that one!
I think I will try it but use freshly cooked veggies and add chicken broth and the cream of chicken soup as I like pot pie that has a creamy sauce but not too thick.
I will let you know how my Biscuits turn out.

There are more recipes on the link that was given to show what the Bisquick Box looks like.
Try this link.

These biscuits are wonderful, and they are so hard to stop at just eating one. I'm so glad that y'all like them.

You can adjust the amount of garlic added to the dough, more or less.......just depends on taste. In the original recipe that I posted it just didn't seem to have enough garlic for me, so now I add more than what it calls for, and they seem to be even better.

This sounds scrumptious. First thing tomorrow I'm going to make them! I even have some shrimp and fresh garden veggies!!

Meanwhile, I'm posting recipes for making homemade Bisquick and how to use it.
